We understand how important a new childcare centre will be to Emerald families and employers in the region. It will provide enrichment and learning opportunities for more 0-5 year olds and it will support a lot of people in re-entering the workforce.
We are in the process of designing what will be the First 5 Years - Playscape. We know from the science that children’s development is cultivated through play. By emulating their parents, teachers and peers, we can foster creativity, imagination and wonderment in early childhood.
Our vision for the playscape is to create a “mini Central Highlands”. To celebrate all that is wonderful in the region, i.e. agriculture, mining, community.
The first week of August we met with a cross section of the Central Highlands Community to share our vision and reach out for ideas, thoughts and feedback. It was a FANTASTIC experience and a big thank you to;
