If you have been driving down Esmond or Retro Streets lately, you may have seen some new activity…..yes, our build is well and truly on the way.
Hats off to Cardav Constructions and the great local trades who have been persisting through the 40-degree days to get our new childcare centre built and open! Well done guys and gals! Roof trusses are going up this week :-).
After much consultation, we have finalised our playscape design. We are proud of the direction it has taken and can’t wait for it to be a feature of the centre.
You may remember we spoke with Councillors, the Historical Society, Bush Kids, the Agricultural Society, the Mining Industry and lots of mums and dads. Below is a sneak peek of the developed design – our “mini-Emerald”, celebrating the best of the Central Highlands.

With 17 days to go until Christmas, I know a lot of us are already thinking about next year. I understand that many families are keen to understand if they have secured a place for their child/children for 2023.
At this stage, weather and supplies permitting, we will be opening around April 2023. We can’t definitively promise this, it is our best estimate with what we know now.
In early January we will be contacting those who have signed up with Expressions of Interest. Please don’t wait if you are offered a place at one of the other great centres in Emerald, we understand and support you in finding quality childcare.
